Niger

The US Government has issued a security alert reminding citizens that extremist groups seek to target locations in Niamey frequented by Westerners. You’re advised to be aware of your surroundings and exercise caution when visiting venues such as banks, supermarkets, restaurants, and hotels. If you're in Niger, leave as soon as possible if it’s safe to do so. The Australian High Commission in Abuja has very limited capacity to provide consular assistance in Niger.
