United Kingdom
COVID-19 restrictions remain in place, however some restrictions have eased (see 'Travel'). From 17 May, requirements for arriving in the UK depend on where you've been (including transits) in the 10 days before you arrive. If you travel to the UK from Australia transiting Singapore, you won't be required to self-isolate, but you'll need to take a COVID-19 (PCR) test on day two after arrival. If you've been in, or transited through, a country on the UK Government red list or amber list in the 10 days before arrival in the UK, you'll be required to follow the rules for the relevant list. The rules include requirements for testing, and self isolation or hotel quarantine. The list of countries that are green, amber and red is subject to review and you should monitor the list in the lead up to planned travel. Significant penalties may apply for people who fail to comply with these measures. Northern Ireland has experienced a number of incidents of street violence and rioting, including attacks on police with stones, fireworks and petrol bombs. The violence has mainly occurred in loyalist areas in west and south Belfast, in Londonderry and in parts of County Antrim. Avoid areas where riots are occurring and follow the advice of authorities.
We continue to advise:
Do not travel to the United Kingdom due to the health risks from the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant disruptions to global travel.
