Brunei Darussalam
Community cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Brunei. Follow the advice of local authorities including local regulations and restrictions. From 1 August, long-term residents in Brunei or citizens must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to leave the country. Brunei has transit and entry restrictions for visitors until further notice. If you're sponsored by the Brunei Government, registered company or a family member, who is a Brunei citizen or resident, an application for a Travel Entry Pass to enter Brunei can be made on your behalf. The Travel Entry Pass is not a visa. If you've been issued with a Travel Entry Pass, a negative COVID-19 (RT-PCR) test result taken in the 72 hours before you depart for Brunei is required. You'll also be required to undergo mandatory self-isolation at a government approved hotel for a period of between 2 to 14 days. The duration of the self-isolation notice given upon arrival is determined by Brunei’s Ministry of Health (see ‘Travel’).
We continue to advise:
Do not travel to Brunei due to the health risks from the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant disruptions to global travel.
