On 19 September a volcanic eruption occurred on the island of La Palma, in the Canary Islands. If you're on La Palma, follow the instructions of the local authorities. Due to the eruption, you should reconsider your need to travel to the Canary Islands. COVID-19 safety measures are in place throughout Spain and vary between regions. You must complete an online Health Control form 48 hours prior to air and sea travel to Spain. If you’re travelling from a country designated as ‘at risk’, you must present a COVID-19 vaccination certificate, a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours before travel or a COVID-19 recovery certificate (see 'Travel').
