Uganda
New COVID-19 restrictions begin on 17 September. You'll have to undergo a PCR test on arrival at your own expense, regardless of vaccination status or country of origin. If you're departing from Entebbe, you'll have to show a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate, issued within 72 hours of travel. A curfew remains in place from 7pm to 5.30am (see 'Travel'). Expect local authorities to quarantine you at an isolation centre if you show symptoms of COVID-19.
We continue to advise:
Do not travel to Uganda due to the health risks from the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant disruptions to global travel.
