Ireland

You can travel to Ireland if you're within the EU and Schengen Area or if you have proof of vaccination or recovery. The EU is coordinating an ‘emergency brake’ mechanism to protect citizens against COVID-19 variants of concern. This applies if you're arriving in Ireland from outside the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Great Britain. Travel-related testing and self-isolation/quarantine is dependent on the country you're arriving from. Exemptions apply, including if you’re fully vaccinated. See ‘Travel’. Ireland accepts certificates issued by other EU member states under the EU Digital Certificate Scheme.

We continue to advise:

Do not travel to Ireland due to the health risks from the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant disruptions to global travel.
