Community transmission of COVID-19 continues in Portugal. Portugal has lifted many COVID-19 restrictions as vaccination targets are met. Follow the advice of local authorities. All travellers aged 12 and over must have a negative COVID-19 test or a recognised vaccination certificate, such as the EU Digital Certificate before boarding a flight to Portugal. Individuals aged 12 years and over must show a valid COVID-19 test or recognised vaccination certificate to enter certain venues. Australian vaccination certificates may be accepted for entry into Portugal and into certain public venues (see 'Travel'). Various travel restrictions continue to apply for certain countries.
