Japan has made significant changes to its entry requirements in response to the COVID-19 Omicron variant. You can’t enter Japan unless you’re a citizen or a resident. This includes those who have already obtained a visa in the past. All previously announced relaxations of restrictions have been suspended until further notice. Travellers from Australia must quarantine for 3 days at a designated quarantine facility. You must then continue to self-isolate for the remainder of 14 days.
