From 1 January 2022, Australians can enter Tajikistan under a new 30-day visa-free arrangement. Commercial flights to and from Tajikistan remain very limited. Land border crossings are closed to travellers. All international travellers arriving in Tajikistan must provide confirmation of a negative COVID-19 (PCR) test result, issued within 72 hours of arrival. The test must be a COVID-19 (PCR) swab test. Other test results including antibody tests are not accepted. PCR testing may also be required upon departure from Tajikistan. Face masks are mandatory in public. Contact your airline or your nearest embassy or consulate of Tajikistan to confirm entry requirements.
