You're not permitted to enter Malaysia as a tourist. To prevent and control the spread of the Omicron Variant of COVID-19, the Malaysian Government has temporarily barred tourists from Australia from taking part in the Langkawi Island international tourism bubble. You must get approval before travel from the Malaysian Government to enter (or exit and re-enter), except long term pass holders, who are permitted to enter Malaysia without prior approval.
