Entry is limited to Japanese citizens and residents, unless exceptional and/or compassionate circumstances apply. Travellers from Australia may need to quarantine for 3 or 6 days at a designated quarantine facility depending on your state or territory of departure. You must then continue to self-isolate for the remainder of 14 days. The situation is changing rapidly. Quasi emergency COVID-19 preventative measures are in place in some prefectures.
