Lebanon
There have been armed clashes involving the exchange of live fire and multiple casualties. Protests are taking place, some of which have turned violent. Avoid protests, and if you're caught in civil unrest, stay inside. There are shortages of medicines and fuel, with frequent power outages. Restrictions are in place, including closure of some areas and services. Fully vaccinated travellers (with either their second dose in the last 6 months, or third dose at any time) are exempted from pre-departure COVID-19 (PCR) testing when travelling to Lebanon. Masks are mandatory in public – you could be fined if you don’t wear one. Monitor media and follow the advice of local authorities.
We advise:
Reconsider your need to travel to Lebanon overall due to the changed security environment.
Higher levels apply in some areas.
