Niger

We've reviewed our advice for Niger. We continue to advise do not travel to Niger, this now includes the capital Niamey, due to the high threat of kidnapping, terrorist attack, crime and the volatile security environment. If you're in Niger, leave as soon as possible if it’s safe to do so. The Australian High Commission in Abuja has very limited capacity to provide consular assistance in Niger.
