Venezuela

Do not travel to Venezuela. If you decide to travel, flight options to and from Venezuela are very limited and travelling within the country is challenging (see 'Travel'). COVID-19 remains a risk. You need to present a valid ‘Pase Viajero de Bioseguridad’ (traveller’s pass) at your port of origin to enter Venezuela. You must apply for the traveller’s pass 72 hours before your arrival through the official Biocheck website (Spanish only). You'll need proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR-RT test within 72 hours of arrival to complete the traveller’s pass application. Australia doesn't have an embassy or consulate in Venezuela. Contact the Australian Embassy in Colombia for assistance (see 'Local Contacts').

We advise:

Do not travel to Venezuela due to the unstable political and economic situation, shortages of food, water, medicine and petrol, and high levels of violent crime.
