South Korea (Republic of Korea)

From 3 September you will no longer be required to provide a pre-departure COVID-19 test result to enter South Korea. You must take a COVID-19 (PCR) test within 24 hours of arrival. If you do not, you could be imprisoned for one year or face a fine of up to 10 million won. All travellers should isolate in their residence or accommodation until they receive a negative COVID-19 test result. If you test positive on arrival, you will be required to isolate for 7 days regardless of medical documentation of a prior COVID-19 diagnosis. For ease of travel, it is recommended you register your personal information in the Korean Q-code registration system before you travel to South Korea at the Q-code website.

We advise:

Exercise normal safety precautions in South Korea.
