Sudan

We've reviewed our advice for Sudan. We haven't changed the overall level of our advice, reconsider your need to travel. Higher levels apply in some areas. We now advise, do not travel to East and Central Darfur States. We continue to advise do not travel to North, South and West Darfur States. Sudan's political situation remains unstable despite the framework agreement signed between the military and civilian parties. Protests continue to take place across the country. There are reports of violence against protestors, including arbitrary arrests and deaths. Avoid all demonstrations and remain vigilant. Monitor media coverage and follow the advice of local authorities (see 'Safety').
