Recent protests across Senegal have turned violent, resulting in several deaths and injuries. Further demonstrations and increased civil unrest will likely occur in Dakar and other major cities in the lead-up to the February 2024 elections. Avoid protests and public gatherings and remain vigilant. Follow the advice of local authorities and monitor local media for updates.
