Morocco
We've reviewed our advice for Morocco and continue to advise exercise a high degree of caution. On 8 September, a 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Morocco, southwest of Marrakesh, causing widespread damage to buildings and infrastructure, including power, water, roads and communications. Recovery and reconstruction efforts are underway. Avoid travelling to impacted areas.
There is currently an increased risk of demonstrations and protests occurring around the country. Avoid protests and demonstrations. Follow the advice of local authorities and monitor media for updates.
