Democratic Republic of the Congo

We've reviewed our advice and continue to advise reconsider your need to travel to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Do not travel levels apply in some areas, updated to include Mai Ndombe province. The DRC will hold elections on 20 December. Civil unrest and political violence may occur in the lead-up to, during and following elections. Monitor the media for potential demonstrations or protests, avoid affected areas and follow the advice of local authorities (see 'Safety').
